Chapter Philanthropy

The Epsilon Sigma chapter of Phi Mu is dedicated to raising money for Children's Miracle Network and helping other organizations with their philanthropy efforts as well! The money that the chapter raises stays in San Antonio, going to the local Children's Hospital of San Antonio.  The girls work very hard to raise money for CMNH in many ways!

The Phi Mu's at UTSA have hosted and put together two golf tournaments, their Rose and White Classic. Every year since 2004, they have worked very hard to put together the annual Miracle Man male pageant where representatives from different campus organizations compete through several rounds for the title of Miracle Man. Phi Mu also hosts an annual event named Cook out for Kids, in which items are donated and sisters host a cook out on campus. This past fall Phi Mu hosted our first ever Frats at Bat where seven of UTSA's fraternities competed in a baseball home-run derby. Some of the sisters attended the Torch Relay for the Childrens Miracle Network with some of the San Antonio Alumnae earlier this year. The Epsilon Sigma sisters also set up booths every year at Fiesta UTSA and Best Fest to sell food or beverages. The ladies will also be starting some brand new philanthropy events this upcoming year that will be held annually. All of the money raised from these activites goes to Children's Miracle Network.

Many sisters also volunteer for various non- profit organizations like Habitat for Humanity and Camp CAMP. The ladies of Phi Mu also volunteer at University sponsored events like Babcock Cleanup and United to Serve.

The girls are also more than willing to help other organizations with their philanthropies. For years they have helped Lambda Chi Alpha at UTSA raise money for San Antonio Food Bank by helping them go out in the city and gather donations and by participating in Watermelon Bash. The ladies have also participated in Halloween parties for American Cancer Society with the gentlemen of Tau Kappa Epsilon and Kappa Sigma.
