Philanthropy

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has been Phi Mu’s national philanthropic partner since 1986. “To lend to those less fortunate a helping hand.” The first line of Phi Mu’s Creed has been a call to serve others since it was written more than 100 years ago. From our earliest days of supporting a health mobile that delivered health care to women and children in rural areas to supporting toy carts for children in hospitals to our current partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Phi Mu has long been committed to lending a helping hand to those in need.

We are proud to be the only sorority to partner with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and have an alliance with the National Women’s History Museum. We were also the first sorority to establish a National Philanthropy Day more than 20 years ago. Lending a helping hand is at the heart of who we are as Phi Mus.

Epsilon Sigma's Philanthropy

At the University of Texas at San Antonio, the Epsilon Sigma chapter of Phi Mu is proud to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals through a variety of philanthropy events held each fall and spring. From Miracle Man to Pie a Phi, we’ve hosted events that bring the campus together and help raise thousands of dollars for an incredible cause. Our passion for this philanthropy runs deep. Beyond fundraising, we actively volunteer with CHRISTUS Children’s in San Antonio—the only freestanding children’s hospital in the area. Whether it’s helping out at events, spending time with patients, or delivering donations, we’re dedicated to showing up for the kids and families who need it most. Supporting CMN Hospitals is something that brings our chapter together in a meaningful way. It reflects who we are as Phi Mus—women committed to service, compassion, and making a difference in our community.
